C’mon, c’mon, c’mon……get dark! I don’t know if I’ve ever been more anxious for night to fall as I was last night. Not even as a kid waiting for fireworks on the 4th of July.
Yesterday afternoon I finally got together with Mike in regard to the garlic bulb panel. He’d said he wanted the little roots showing at the bottom of the bulb. In the picture I’d already drawn there were no roots. They weren’t there on the actual bulb I’d drawn from , so I didn’t draw any. Well, some itty bitty tiny ones were there, but I couldn’t see them at the angle from which I’d drawn. So, trying to add them after the fact, they just didn’t look right. They weren’t right. They looked like spaghetti…..or worms. So, I’d asked him to look on the internet for pictures of garlic bulbs with the roots so I’d know just what he wanted and I’d draw from that. But when he saw the picture I’d already drawn, he said, “Oh, okay, never mind.” He liked it and here it is:
So when, it FINALLY got dark last night, I set up my overhead projector with the drawing in place underneath and traced out the drawing onto the panel. I started painting, too…..couldn’t contain myself!
Hopefully, I’ll finish it up in the next couple days before and after work.
Speaking of which……gonna go paint!
